Sukothai - Oakville

I also had a very bad experience at this establishment. Inspired of arriving 1 hour before the posted closing I and my party were denied the opportunity to be served. I asked to see the city operation licience but was denied. Also while leaving the Skip the dishes pick up driver drove to the door by driving through a pedestrian only area. The pick up driver almost drove into me. The city of Oakville has a reputation of being a well run city but in this case city inspectors should pay a visit.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars ? ? the food is packed with flavors and good variety of Thai food as far as I know but I'm not expert .The ambiance is friendly, clean and calm.I recommend this place for who likes Thai and spicy ? ?

So happy that we came to this restaurant! I am shocked that his rating is 3.8, definitely think it deserves a lot higher.Food: Very flavourful and good portions. We got mango salad, red devil curry, basil stir fry, pad see ew, pad thai, and red curry. All those dishes tasted amazing!Service: The man who served us was awesome. He was so accommodating for our large group and was very pleasant to talk to.Atmosphere: Nice and quiet, but there is some room for improvement in the decor. You can tell it is mostly for take out, but because the service was so great, it definitely brought the atmosphere up.

Made reservations at Sukhothai. The owner had warned us that the food could take up to 45 min to an hour due to many take out orders. We were expecting that and didn’t mind the wait as the food was amazing. The owner was also gracious enough to allow us to bring a birthday cake and provided plates and cutlery at no extra charge. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will be back!

Imagine going to this restaurant for dinner at 7:15pm on a Friday only to be told by the manager that they cannot serve you because they have too many take out orders. There was only one customer in the dining room at that time.What's the point of such a location with a dining room if you cannot serve dinner on a Friday night.
