B's Banh Mi - Oakville

Happened upon B's Banh Mi by chance, returning something on Wyecroft and glad I did. Quick fresh and tasty. Had the Meat Lovers Plate and it didn't disappoint I will definitely be going back to try something else.

I have never been to this place before and only went because I had a quick discussion with a colleague on where I should get lunch. She said that a few of the guys at the plant loved eating there so I thought I'd give it a go. First off, I drove past it twice even with a GPS telling.me where it is. It is not colourfully signed so I would suggest a more eye catching exterior so that they can attract passing custom. Inside the restaurant, it is modern and pleasant and it is well laid out with chairs and tables to eat in if you want. I was please to see that all the customers inside were from the general area of Vietnam and that is always a good sign - if folks that come from the place that the food is from eat there, it's probably quite authentic. The owner was a delight. He was polite and very helpful, answering my questions about the food with a smile on his face. I told him that I hadn't been there before and he was interested enough to ask me to get back to him with my thoughts on his food. I made my selection - the meat lovers - and watched him serve up a good sized portion of rice, chicken, port and a large meatball all served with little salad and sweet and hot sauce. I asked for spicy and he poured on a lot of hot sauce as requested. The purchasing experience was excellent. The food was really very good and I really enjoyed it all. I got a lot of food and a can of San Pellegrino for around $13.50 which represents excellent value. All in all, a very positive experience that I'm sure I will be experiencing again in the near future.

Went with my wife and we had the roasted pork banh mi and my wife had the chicken banh mi. We also had the pork fresh rolls. The bread was fresh and delicious, crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth soft on the inside. The meat was hardy and the sauce complemented the meat and vegetables with the perfect amount of spice and "zing". You won't leave this place hungry and your pocket book with thank you because it is really reasonably priced. Really nice and friendly service and quick too. Nice clean and inviting and bright atmostphere.

Had the chicken tacos and friend had meat lover's platter and loved it.Great experience.

My husband and I visited for lunch today. A friend recommended this place and it was our first time. We were extremely impressed. Great tasting food, full of flavours, and the owner was really nice and accommodated my gluten free diet. Large portions for a reasonable price. We will definitely return :)
