I am frequent flyer of this place all for the fish and chips!! Best breading ever! Ranch! Tasty! Right amount of salt! And great service!!! One month I ordered every week of the month smh

We ordered both pies, the risotto with cod , fish and chips, chips with curry, Yorkshire pudding, and the trifle and it was all amazing! The prices are also very fair considering the portion sizes. I suggest sharing and trying a lil of everything like we did. :

It really looks like their friends wrote some of the 5 star reviews. They don't seem genuine, especially after ordering two dinners from here, and my wife and I both feel like we were scammed. The food tastes okay, but it is overpriced. What's the justification for the pricing? There's no storefront to keep up, the portions are tiny, there's no way rent costs much, and the only staff visible is some guy handing takeout orders to whoever ordered from one of maybe ten restaurants this commercial kitchen cooks for. I'd consider ordering again at half the price, but it's a scam at the prices they currently sell at. The brandied yams are boiled or microwaved, and the plantains are chips out of a corner-store bag.

The first time I ate there the food was great, enjoyed every bit of it. The second time I ordered on grub hub for pickup and after waiting over 20 minutes I was told the restaurant never opened for the day. However grub hub was accepting was orders and providing an ETA of when the food would be ready. My review isn't related to the food it's about the service or lack there of. Well, I decided to try the fried chicken dinner from the Bussdown for $21. Don 't worry about adding more sides, they give you a balance of flavors that you need to try. The moist chicken, with it 's crispy crust....slightly salty, but good! The sweet yams and the savory greens. Oh man, you need to have a fork and knife to eat the Macaroni 'n Cheese. WHY? Because you have to cut through the crust of the Mac n Cheese.... just to get to that incredible creamy cheesy macaroni! The Bussdown is a cloud kitchen at The Oakland Food Hall in East Oakland, formerly called Jingletown Eats.
