I recently dined in for dinner and had an excellent experience overall. Perle is a fantastic spot for brunch! They were incredibly accommodating for our large birthday party, quickly adding an extra table to accommodate our reservation. The food was outstanding. I started with deep-fried oysters and deviled eggs, followed by a croque madame. I'm particularly excited to try their burger on my next visit, which comes with a small cup of French onion soup! The oyster shooters were fresh and delicious, just as we expected. They also have a great selection of mimosas. The live music is an added bonus, especially for a Sunday brunch. It’s best to make your reservation for an earlier time to beat the rush, especially with a larger group. My only complaint would be the parking situation, as there’s a farmers market happening in the area at the same time on Sundays. Just arrive early enough to secure parking and you’ll be good to go! Several weeks ago, I stopped in on a Sunday morning at Peet’s coffee next door. I waited for my order when a young woman entered with a dog off leash. The dog wandered through the coffee bar and annoyed many of the customers looking for a snack. I confronted the owner who was belligerent and offensive and the manager asked us all to leave. One week later, I made a reservation by telephone to Perle for dinner. When I arrived on time, this same woman was the hostess and promptly asked me to leave. I said that I had a reservation and she replied, “We won’t serve you here!” I spotted the same little terrier skirting around the tables looking for hand outs of course off leash. I won’t be back!
