Occitania - Oakland

Came to celebrate my man's birthday and we were both very happy with the overall experience. everything was on the spot.

Professional friendly service. Food was excellent, maybe the best French Onion soup in a long time. Polenta winter vegetables excellent. The steak and fries delicious, slightly over priced. All other entrees very good with a solid value.

A few things: the waitress came up to the table to ask us if everything was six times in order. it was too many. the appetizers were great. the kalbstau was one of the most tender and tasteless things I ever had in a restaurant.

Four of us went to dinner on Saturday night and were very satisfied. everything was really great the service (warm, fun, inviting and on point,) cocktails (fresh, inventive, delicious,) eating (highlights: wobbly soup, poulet, steak frites,) and the ambiente (cooler room and decor, fun and lively mood, but not too loud).

Catch up dinner with a dear friend. We had fun cocktails that were yummy and shared several delicious choices from the menu (pate, house salad and steak frites). All were delicious. The space is lovely but a bit loud due the acoustics. Also, we didn’t notice any music which might have been nice. Will definitely dine at Occitania again!!
