Contribuiți la feedbackThat was a favor when I lived in the neighbourhood. I have tried other Ethiopian restaurants since deducting, but this is still my favorite and close enough to my current situation to get easy. The Injera bread is just right, not too sour as some other restaurants are. the personal is friendly, attentive, but remains low key, in the background, and inconspicuous. eating is very authentic. I always have the Ethiopian spiced tee and share a combination plate. we had more people this time so we decided to have an additional fish dish of fried Tilapia cracks. it was a good choice! we went on Wednesday, so it was pretty quiet. I have seen it at weeks, but it is always pleasant atmosphere.
The two shiro ordered was Mixes each into large enjeras. It was a very tiny shiro with lots of enjera wrapped around it. Lady said we should have said to separate it. Looking at the money paid for $15+ and what was given I will not recommend buying shiro from there. They don’t know how to prepare it. I bought another two shiro from another place same day and was told shiro is always separated because it’s like soup and should never be combined with enjera. Infact size was just perfect. A disaster from Messob and money wasted. And no vegetables added. Just small shiro like five tablespoons
I had the vegetarian combination plated (all vegan) plus mushroom tibs and buticha. mushroom tibs are usually one of my favorite vegan Ethiopian dish and this version was beautiful. it was my first time with buticha, and I loved the light creamy taste. the regular combo elements were all great, although I especially loved the added items mentioned and was glad that I had jumped for them. my friend ordered firfir, which is not on the menu as vegan, but can be done so by asking that pieces be used injera instead of meat. so she ordered it and I hang on a photo. it was wonderful and I will probably order it next time. the portions are large and none of us could go to the end. I recommend to them to bring their own containers to avoid the disposable plastic they offer in the restaurant for rest. updated by previous review on 2021-12-22
The place was slow on a Sunday afternoon. have the vegetarian combination with buticha, mushroom wool and tofu-dulet. all delicious.
