Le Cheval is our go to restaurant for family, friends and groups when in Oakland. We have never been disappointed with the food, service, ambience and experience. We have a variety of favorites that we go too, like the Shrimp Roles, Lemongrass Prawns, Fish in Claypot, Whole fish, dry fried crab... We return weekly for lunch or dinner.

Le Cheval is pretty basic: a good place to get a hearty lunch and go. Both the lemongrass beef and prawns were drowned in a very oily and spicy turmeric sauce.
