Gum Kuo Restaurant - Oakland

Surprised by the extensive menu, not only the traditional bbq roasted items. complementary, takes credit card, later opened as other oakland chinatown restaurants, fast service, good for breakfast start 8 o'clock, lunch special and dinner combination (3 entree special price, including suppe, good for the family)

To tonight I have never eaten as well in a Chinese restaurant as hop kee in nyc chinatown. this place was amazing. the roasted tasty, the bark chow fun and everything else, delicious. that is the place in oakland. so much better than the overpriced eating in san francisco.

Ordered seven with duck, black mushroom reis nudel and garnel reisnudel. good chinese, no lust for comfort eating. 12.95-Siebton soup with duck. the canton is perfect with pork and crispy garnel. in the bowl there are 10 cantons with two sticks of green Choy-Summe-Veggie in a delicious broth. the court came with 6 pieces house roasted duck that was good. 5 stars for this court. 6.95 garnelen reis nudel reis nudel was perfectly slippery smooth rice noodles prepared with a garnel in each section, dressed with soy sauce and sesame seed oil. two reisnudels roll in 3 cut each. 5 stars for the reisnudel, but 3 stars for the filling, because the garnels overboil and chew. the garnels were not as good as in the brand. 5.95 black mushrooms and cuts reisnudel: reisnudel itself was perfect again. I had expected that shitake mushrooms when I read black mushrooms, but the cook used helped a conned straw mushroom in each rice noodle section. I was disappointed in this court as something was missing in the season. the reisnudel is good. fillings were not my expectations. the service is quite fast after ordering. the tables are too close together for my comfort and not 6' apart. waitress tends to clear people apart when it is less crowded. the waitress never came by to refill the free tee so they only get a cup of tee if they don't ask. the atmosphere is missing, but eating is really good and cheap. in the plaza there is a bathroom that you ask the waitress on a key. So they have to go outside the restaurants to do that. I'd rather go out and eat in the comfort of my own home.

This place may not be the cleanest buuut they come here for the food! bwahaha. so don't come here when you're being boiled with something like that. I came here to eat on some rice rolls because I love them! duck: needs more escape! there were also chopped bones thrown in. boo. but so good! garnel: needs more garnel! there were only 4. bbq pork and cilantro: my favorite! chili oil: it is not spicy, but more so for the taste I think. pour it well or she 'll scoop up the salt and make it 'll make her eat super salty. I will come again and again when I'm in the opposite and maybe even try the egg noodles next time, even after a big buck of noodles just chillin' waiting on a table to haha.

Tasty Chinese classics.Ambience?—none .But the food is freshly cooked and quickly served.
