DRUNKEN FISH - Oakland

I've been coming here since it opened and have always had exemplary service from Connie who manages this spot.

Parking near here during late hours is pretty easy, though to some people outside of Oakland, this wouldn't be the first zone you would consider parking

If you like creative roles, this is the sushi place for you. Surrounded by the card dealers on Broadway car series, this neighborhood venue is a great mix of good quality fish, local sachet and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I stayed on pretty traditional roles and nigiri, all well prepared. The only creative role I tried was the Shrek role that Yellowfin and Ahi Tuni played in a role with Tobiko and a lot of avocado. I usually like avocado with my roles, but it could have been a bit too much and it overwhelmed the fish a little. There is also a nice selection of desire to choose with many selections from Berkeley's Takara Sake. I tried several and found an unfiltered jacket that was really, very tasty.

Update: This is still my favorite sushi place.
