Their homemade scallion cream cheese and bialys are absolutely delicious. It's a wonderful and friendly local gem.

My favorite is the veggie bagel sandwich! It’s incredibly fresh, has a nice zing from the salty cucumbers, and makes for the ideal morning meal!

For those who remember how great Beauty's Bagels used to be, I urge you to stay away! While the quality has been steadily declining for at least the past year, I always thought the recipes would remain unchanged. To my surprise, when I received my order, I found some strange coleslaw that felt more fitting for a low-quality barbecue joint, rather than the traditional beet coleslaw that usually comes with the chicken sandwich. The latkes were just a bizarre pressed potato sheet, obviously mass-produced by a machine in a factory. Rest in peace, Beauty's Bagels.

Beautys is usually great but recently, the standard has dropped. I received the completely wrong bagel on two occasions in the last week or two.

Beauty's Bagels are undoubtedly the best bagels I have ever tasted. I've been enjoying bagels for breakfast nearly every day for almost 20 years, and I’ve sampled offerings from every bagel shop around the bay in search of the ultimate bagel. This fantastic place truly excels at everything it does. They boil their bagels in honey water, imparting a delightful hint of sweetness. Their whole wheat bagels are incredibly delicious. They consistently get everything right. It’s always bustling and there's usually a line, filled with a diverse mix of customers—a true Oakland gem.
