Au Lounge - Oakland

There are a few seats upstairs near the entrance so if you're looking for a quiet intimate setting I suggest sitting upstairs as downstairs is quite noisy. There are many bars and lounges on the ground floor. Great space for group parties, so many tables were reserved. Surprisingly, after the maximum occupancy, it fits over 300 people downstairs.

Chef SMELLY takes people out. Baked oysters will have you ordering seconds. Appetizer! And the entree was the crab shell. Delicious!

I can't go wrong at Chef Smellys aka AU Lounge. Best Creole food on the bay. Luv tht place!

First time here and it's an amazing atmosphere with stacks of mouth watering favorite food in the Black America and African culture. In fact, I'm from Washington, DC and just moved here... This is the place to be if you're just visiting the Bay Area and looking for soul food (if I got here sooner than now). The host is so sweet (the chef and the owners aunt). She greeted me with warmth and love. I come here more often, even taking the drive from Fremont where I live in Cali.... 10 stars over the board. I just keep it real

Nice ambiance, great dj, customer service could use a little touch though.
