Red Lobster - Oakhurst

Visited on a Monday around 9p, an hour before the restaurant closed. We ordered the Ultimate Endless Shrimp special that is available on Mondays. The food was great but the service was the worst I have had in a while. We were rushed from the time we sat down at the table until we left. Our waiter very rarely came to our table to check on us and when she did she was rushing us and would walk away in the middle of us asking a question or talking because she was in such a rush. I understand we visited an hour before closing but we had planned to leave the restaurant before closing which we did. There should be no reason to rush customers if the restaurant is still serving and not has not closed yet. We ended up asking another waiter for refills and items because our waiter was almost non-existent. The food was excellent and since we ordered the endless shrimp feast before closing we got loads of it brought to our table. One minor issue I noticed when being seated, the table lighting was very dark because there were two lights burned out over our table. After looking at other tables around us it was the same story.

I don't frequent this chain often but it's close to me and I haven't been here in 6 years so why not. Most of their prices have gone up quite a bit for a chain of this caliber, Yet the quality of food seems to be above average yet not great. The old adage you get what you pay for is very applicable here. A four course meal for $16.99 is passable just so you are sated and your belly stops growling. Meanwhile, Jennie has worked at this location for some 38 years and that is not a miss-print. She might have an unofficial record of length of employment at one particular venue in the service industry. Having dined out a lot, this is almost unheard of. What loyalty ! Lobster Bisque- too salty Cheddar cheese biscuits excellent Garden Salad ok Grilled Shrimp w/Brussel Sprouts, linguine ok Dessert ok Definition of OK: not great, but very edible RL has a reward program of which I will reject.

We had an event planned for this location red lobster. They decided to paint the high chairs in the room we had the event scheduled in the night prior to the event. We walked in a few hours earlier than the event with the idea the room would be cleared for us to set up and not smelling like fumes from the paint used! Not a single window was allowed to be opened. Not only did we have to move it all with no help but they had the nerve to ask us to break the whole room down and bring back in all the stuff we had taken out with no help in the morning. Not only were they rude to us with the lack of respect for a pregnant girls event but I heard the staff talking about being caught with large amounts of drugs on the premises. I wouldn't take my family there so I hope you won't take yours!

Was not impressed. My husband and I came up to see my son and take him out for a late lunch. Ordered 2 Margarita's, tasted like nothing but mix, no salt on the rim. Ordered 2 stuffed flounders, the worst we've ever had. it was stuffed with this mushy stuffing like stuff. I just ate the small pieces of flounder, could not eat what was inside it. With some langostino lobster tossed on top. coleslaw was nothing but cabbage with some coleslaw sauce, tasteless. The fries were good though. My son ordered a filet mignon, med rare. It was well done. He ate it, but was not made as ordered. Wont be back At this location. We've had great meals at Red Lobster before in different locations, but this one........
