Swain Seafood Shack - Oak Island

It was absolutely awful. The food not only was expensive but it made the whole family sick!!!

Food is good huge servings. The furniture could use replacements. I needed a booster seat to sit at the bar. The stools are too short.

Last night we had dinner at Swains. We tried the Cajun shrimp and grits, with real Tasso in the grits, and the steak tip salad. This was definitely the best meal we had during our long weekend visit. The server was not terribly attentive, but the food was good. We would consider returning to this restaurant on a future visit and would suggest it to friends in the area.

We went here while on the island recently. This place is very busy. The service was quick and attentive. The food was decent and the portions were large. It's definitely a popular family spot as there were lots of small children and it is very noisy inside. Definitely a good spot for families with children .

Look for the best restaurants in oak island this was rated 4.5 outta 5! in what life would this be considered that, the staff was friendly but the food had no seasoning, accept the fries and homemade chips. The fish Trigger and Grouper said catch of the day, my trigger came out in triangles and tasted the same as the grouper with no love in it! we waited 45 minutes for food and I was so Appalled that I gave them what our 2 meals cost $70 too expensive and would not send anyone there if you like seasoned food, everyone else keep enjoying. Just taking peoples money because it's a popular spot for families! Also, it was the end of the day and the cook just gave up on our food, I guess. id rather cook my own!
