Contribuiți la feedbackThis place is in serious need of a remodel. There are out-of- order signs everywhere. Restaurant, pool, wifi (right, no wifi! , come machine, it's all broken. A notice in the room said they were under renovation, but I didn't see any construction happening. On top of that it isn't managed well. Ran out of food for their breakfast (no milk for cereal, no plates for the eggs, etc. This, of course, leads to clientele you don't want. We saw a guests dog openly urinate in the lobby. Inside the lobby. And the guest just walked away. It was disgusting. Why did we stay there? We booked a last minute trip over a holiday weekend to the nearby national park, and needed somewhere to stay. We didn't have many choices. Before you reserve a room here call and ask about the wifi and how the reno is going. If it's not done, go somewhere else.
Lights in our bathroom don’t work consistently. Tiny pillows. Floor level room has curtains that don’t close. Elevators are out of order.Ice machine out of order.Of course none of this is advertised nor is the price reduced… we’ll go somewhere else for the rest of our stay
Aug 9 2023. Pet friendly. Yay. .Room good working order. Breakfast good cereal eggs sausage and biscuit coffee juice. most of the amenities were out of order including the elevators, ice, vending I guess due to remodeling on first floor) but second floor is ground level. So that's good. Staff niceSafety: Felt safe to walk my dog.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our move. After driving for over eight hours, we arrived at 3:30 in the morning. Unfortunately, the front desk staff couldn’t find our Expedia non-refundable reservation, so we had to book a room on the spot. To make matters worse, the hotel’s facilities, including the bar, restaurant, pool, elevators, internet, and television, were all closed. We settled for a first-floor room with a single bed and three 12*12 couch pillows due to the elevator not working and the desolate surroundings. However, our room had unadjustable decorative curtains that couldn’t block the sunlight, so we only slept for four hours before being woken up by the bright sun at 8 am. The thin walls made it challenging to sleep with constant noise from people outside. The breakfast selection was disappointing, with poor quality options served from 6 to 9 am.Upon check-out at 11 am, we couldn’t find anyone at the front desk around 10:40. The hotel’s luggage trolley was difficult to use, and there were various cleanliness issues, such as finding hair on the pillow. Additionally, if you stay multiple nights, the room was only cleaned every three days unless requested otherwise. Overall, our experience at the hotel was disappointing and filled with various inconveniences.I should check the reviews before booking!!!
This hotel has all the basics you need no frills and nothing extra. Clean rooms with a mini fridge. comfortable beds, and good water pressure in the shower. VERY SIMPLE BREAKFAST of biscuit, gravy, eggs, and dry cereal…but no milk. No WIFI, no elevator service (but first and second floor are accessible by entering the main entrance without using elevators), and only some of the ice machines work. Hotel claims to be doing renovations (on conference rooms, pool, and restaurant), which is believable, but time will tell if that is just an excuse to keep amenities low. If the renovations are completed the hotel has a real probability of being incredible as the location is great and the space inside the hotel is sizable. Most of the renovations will probably be updates to the facilities as this once very popular hotel is still holding on to its 80’s 90’s design. The staff work hard to keep things going, so don’t take out your frustration on them they are doing the best they can with what they have to work with.If you just need a hotel with the basics, I recommend this hotel. If you need the frills and extras, then this hotel is not for you.Rooms: Clean rooms with a mini fridge. comfortable beds, and good water pressure in the shower. In room TV, coffee maker, ironing board, ice bucket.Nearby activities: Hotel is located just off the highway in Fayetteville and is a 10 minute ride to New River Gorge National Park Bridge Welcome Center and OverlookNoteworthy details: While the rooms are clean and adequate, there is nothing “extra” at this hotel. No WI FI, working elevators, milk, yogurt, or fruit at breakfast.Biscuits, scrambled eggs, and gravy are good, and dry cereal all that is offered for breakfast. Was told the “milk delivery didn’t come”…no one took it upon themselves to run down the street to get a few gallons for the guests during our two night stay.
