Made my first visit to Sesame Donuts on a Thursday morning, and was helped by a friendly generous man behind the counter. As we selected our dozen, he gave us samples of the donut hole versions of several (including my first jelly filled donut hole ever) and told us his favorites (pumpkin spice and apple fritter). Of the dozen we tried, the Portland creme was my fave and I 'm not normally a creme filled enthusiast. My wife gave our mini apple fritter her approval (a cinnamon y taste, she said), and the cake donuts were all moist and flavorful. Not sure if I 'd send anyone out of their way for Sesame Donuts, but they 're a clear step up from Fred Meyer. I 'd drop in again if I were passing by.
I'm hooked. This place looks like Duncan Donuts, but better because they also carry their own creations which are creative and kids love them. These donuts are delicious, and the owners are humble and kind. Highly recommend.
Not only are their donuts amazing, they are seriously some of the nicest people you will ever encounter! It seems like a rarity to get good, friendly, customer service anymore so I have to give credit to the staff at Sesame Donuts.
The worlds most perfect donut- Coconut Cream! Soft and tender with creamy custard in the middle not too much to make it gloppy- just the right amount). A little bit of buttercream with a generous sprinkling of coconut on top- simply AMAZING! I would weigh 500 lbs if I lived close to any Sesame Donut shop! Everything I've tried at Tigard or Milw locations is fresh and tasty. The owner at milwaukie is so nice and friendly and introduced himself. Highly recommend Sesame Donuts!
