A 1!!!! ENGLISH: One night my mother in law had a blood pressure problem so we had to go to the clinic, just at closing time and when Lunahuana closes it CLOSES . The pharmacy was right next door to Patio 140 and Humberto instead of flipping the closed sign asked me 1 person! if I wanted something to eat. I had planned to eat a specific pasta in my hotel Los Palomos, great place, lovely gardens, tasty food but a bit pricey but realized we would not return in time. Humberto did not have it on his menu, but asked me what ingredients I would want. He had everything, suuuper fresh, and let me design my plate inside the kitchen and being in Lunahuana added a generous portion of Crawfish/Langostinos. When I went back to pick it up to go , he had also made a terrific calming tea for my mother in law from a selection of the many fresh herbs he had on hand. if you want to try it, ask him to make Espaguettis al Diablo con Camarones y Queso Ahumado , but ask for the camarones/crawfish to be peeled colas peladas TERRIFIC service, tasty food and well priced. I 'll absolutely be back!
We arrived late friday, almost 8pm and we are around the main square plaza of Lunahuana checking what was going on. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and Melchorita was the name but fortunately was closed. On front of if The Patio 140, with Humberto... the owner who is a incredible guy that is very proud of this restaurant and mostly very proud of his crew! Well travelers, you should stop by here for lunch or dinner!! my favorite dishes are Picante de Camarones and Trucha Frita .. you will understand what I am talking about... flavors are just amazing!! Congrats Humberto for all your passion in your business and how you/we recognize your back operations crew.. .the heart of your business.!
I ate there on June 24th 2017. The service seemed fine but the size of dishes were not good. In Peru when people visit the interior the locals usually eat generously. I remained hungry after my meal. Furthermore there was a street dog the owner...could not get rid of. Quite disturbing. Finally the place didn't offer any desserts. Hence, I would not be a recurring customer.
