Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Novi

I absolutely love this location! The atmosphere is very clean and friendly, and I've never had to wait long to be served. Masks are required, and once I forgot mine, but a male employee was kind enough to provide one for me. I usually order the veggie smoothies, which are incredibly delicious—especially the island green smoothie! I've also tried their wraps, and they taste wonderfully fresh. They offer carryout and delivery, and I appreciate that I can order through their app; my order is always ready by the time I arrive. They send out plenty of coupons through the mail and app, which is a great perk! The prices are reasonable, with smoothies starting at around $5 for a 24 oz size. I love that everything they offer is both healthy and tasty—restaurants like this are so important right now!

Once we got to the car, my mom realized she didn't have her kale slaw. When we went back inside, the same guy said they were out of the slaw and offered us some extra chips instead. While he was nice, it would have been helpful to know about the slaw being out of stock when we placed our order. Additionally, I noticed that the countertop had a lot of dropped fruit on it. It’s worth mentioning that there seemed to be a younger crew working that day, which may have contributed to our experience. However, the food was still good, and the drinks were delicious, as always!

The restaurant was impeccably clean, and the staff maintained their usual friendly demeanor. The store manager greeted me with enthusiasm, shouting "Hiiiiiiiii" as I walked in. I replied, "Hi, how are you?" The manager locked eyes with me, took a brief pause, and then asked, "What can I get you?" Unfortunately, the smoothie I ordered was missing some extras I had requested. Generally, I’m not one to leave negative reviews, and this experience would have typically rated three stars. That said, I have to emphasize that the Cajun shrimp wrap was the best I’ve ever tasted, especially considering it was made by someone who isn't Cajun!

I have to say, the staff at this restaurant is remarkable. The other day, I picked up an order, and despite being short-staffed (I think there were only two people on duty) and clearly overwhelmed with both online orders and in-store customers, they maintained a wonderfully polite and friendly demeanor. Additionally, my order was fantastic. I recognize that things are challenging right now, but you all did an incredible job—keep up the excellent work!
