Tasty fish n chips. One of the best haddock fish I've eaten. Crispy chips the way they should be. Did like their own brand ketchup too. Would have brought a bottle if a better price. Pity they didn't have any salad cream though. Mushy peas and chips portions are a bit small for price £2.50 for 2tbsp mushy peas is a lot! . Vegetarian friendly. Faultless fast n friendly service.
Calm and cozy restaurant, We tried the lunch special, cod and chips with the green sauce and mayo.. Food was very delicious and we enjoyed it..
The fish was incredibly delicious and quite filling. The menu was excellent, featuring a wide selection of items to choose from, including drinks. The restaurant's 'scale ale' paired wonderfully with the fish. When we visited, it wasn't busy, so there were plenty of available tables. The staff were very friendly and attentive, regularly checking in to ensure everything was satisfactory after serving the food. The attention to detail in the restaurant's theme, from the hummer pot to the octopus wine bucket, added to the overall experience of dining there.
Fish and chips: without a doubt, this is the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. The fish has a crispy exterior and fresh, juicy meat inside—it's simply mouthwatering to think about. I wouldn't have missed dining at this restaurant during my visit to Nottingham. The portion of chips is generous, and if you prefer not to have chips, they offer the option to order the fish à la carte.
