This is a proper authentic, real ale boozer. Love it! They brew their own beer, which is excellent...and sell Barnsley Bitter!

Food is great here, and atmosphere fun and lively. Great choices for vegans and veggies the vegan fish and chips is excellent. Good range of beers and ciders.

Google says there is a wheelchair accessible entrance. However there are steps to both bars and where bands perform. Unable to attend with my family and friends. Guess I’ll roll around Hockley on my own until after the gig. Can’t get to the bar to buy a drink. Age of build not an excuse. Ableism

If i could rate this a 0 stars i would been kicked out pal by a bouncer at an under 18s event. My mates gig just wanted to see his set and go to be honest, got kicked out as his set was starting. Just to note the guy who's gig it was is 17 years of age. ALSO, I PAYED FULL PRICE FOR MY TICKET. no id at the door, kicked out mid gig. thanks for the absolute waste of money the angel!

Nice place for a pint and a chat. Good choice of beers, seating available and nice atmosphere.
