Contribuiți la feedbackI visited this restaurant for the first time recently and was impressed by the friendly staff who were willing to help. The service was quick and efficient, with minimal waiting time for our orders. I hope that my next visit will be just as positive, as I have read some negative reviews about this place.
The personal is straight. most staff are friendly. collections are very fast, they order and in the rule they get fast. sometimes it takes longer depending on availability. the younger staff is more beautiful than the older staff and that is it.

I went the other day for the eggs with fries and there was a sign in the window saying they had closed. This was a very sad day for Hollies, its customers, and for the variety of coffee in Nottingham. It seems that soon we will all be forced to eat at overpriced, low-quality chain restaurants.
I have been using The Hollies for many years. It is surprising that we have only recently discovered it on Tripadvisor, as it is one of the most underrated places to eat in Nottingham. The style and interior decoration are not 1970s retro but still authentic. The Formica tables and leatherette seats may have seen better days, but it marks the cafe as a true historical original. A trip to The Hollies is almost like stepping back in time, as it is about finding a good place to eat. It is the kind of greasy spoon cafe that used to be more prevalent before we had many more expensive, and often not as good, chain cafes. Do not underestimate the greasy spoon in any way. A good greasy spoon cafe was always a place to find cheap, well-prepared food in a cheerful atmosphere. That is exactly what The Hollies still offers in abundance. A simple dish, like eggs with chips, is always cooked perfectly, and the white sets properly while the yolk goes into the chips when cut. I have always thought that the mark of a good cook is how well they can cook an egg. The Hollies has mastered this art. The chips are always light, crispy, and freshly prepared. The coffee is freshly made and good quality. The prices are very cheap, and it is worth bypassing some of the more modern cafes for people who invade. The staff are always very cheerful and willing to help, and many have worked there for years, which is always a good sign. It is a cafe that offers quality and some of the cheapest prices in town. Two people can eat for the price of one some afternoons. The menu is extensive, including not only the traditional English breakfast, in many variations in size and content, but also salads, sandwiches, cakes, in fact the whole range of traditional English cafes. It is a neglected gem among the expensive, overrated, underdelivering places to eat that (unfortunately) dominate central Nottingham. Enjoy a blast from the past by trying it out. Even the music is refreshingly retro, and somewhat rare these days, quite varied.
