We Smokin' Soul Food Truck - Norwood

I finally had the chance to try the BBQ here, and it exceeded my expectations! Mr. Jones was incredibly friendly, engaging with me and other customers while we were placing our orders, even offering us some tasty samples. I opted for a half rack of ribs, accompanied by baked beans and mac and cheese. I’m usually quite particular about ribs and often end up discarding them, but these were fantastic and came in a generous portion! The baked beans were also delightful, with a lovely hint of brown sugar. As for the mac and cheese, it was equally delicious. Everything had that authentic homemade BBQ flavor, far superior to what you'd find at a chain restaurant. I will definitely be returning!

I first tried this restaurant when they were operating at Surrey Square during the pandemic, and I have to say, their turkey tips were impressive—juicy and well-marinated, and their barbecue sauce was perfectly balanced, not overly sweet or acidic. Fast forward nearly two years, my daughter brought home some turkey tips from their new location at Central Station Mall in Norwood. Unfortunately, I was unwell at the time and had to reheat the food in the microwave. This turned out to be a mistake. The dish was overwhelmed by smokiness, which obscured the flavors, and the meat was tough enough to scratch my throat. I really don't like leaving negative feedback on someone's cooking, but if anyone from the restaurant happens to see this review, I hope they consider marinating their turkey tips more and avoiding excessive smoking in the future. I’m looking for flavor, not a health hazard!

This is one of the best BBQ spots I've tried in Cincinnati, and I've been to quite a few.

The food is not cooked all the way and the man is not friendly! Trust me!
