Rocomamas Oakdene

REVIEW UPDATE: 2/5 to 4/5I am not a fan of the Rocomamas franchise and I genuinely think I am the only person in the South of Johannesburg that feels this way because whenever we pass this Rocomamas it is always full and bustling. The service is usually very good and friendly and it has such a welcoming vibe most people can 't help but be attracted to it. Rocomamas is Jurgen 's favourite 'go-to ' dinner place so we often end up at Rocomamas with him eating his faithful Bacon, Cheez and Guac burger and me attempting to find something different on the menu. Last time I settled on the Sweet Fire Ribs and that was a dismal mistake. I like spicy food, a lot, but the Sweet Fire Ribs boarder inedible and I probably only finished two before quitting because not only was my mouth burning but I developed blistering on my lips and around my mouth. Luckily Rocomamas does offer really good milkshakes so that eased the burn slightly. From now on I will probably stick to the Old Skool BBQ ribs or chicken wings which are good but get a little boring after a while.This might have been a fluke (as everyone else loved their meals) but it has really left me with an even worse opinion of Rocomamas and hopefully I will not have to return any time soon.UPDATE:I am happy to have the opportunity to review this Rocomamas and give it a bettty score! Since the Sweet Fire Ribs incident we have returned a few times and it seems the good is just improving with each visit. We recently tried the feta bombs which are completely addictive. The manage then offered us a chilli bomb each to taste and what can I say, I 'm hooked.The service as always is friendly; efficient and accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

Delicious menu items. At decent affordable prices. Rocomamas could do with better plating options. Skinny fries are awesome. Sweetfire ribs do pack a punch!

The service here is impeccable. From the moment you approach the entrance you are attended to. They really know how to take care of patrons here. The bartender got my drink order wrong and rectified quickly too. Great restaurant.

Took my kids for lunch after watching a movie, we had the triple treat promo and our waitron was a gentleman by the name Njabulo, he offered us the most excellent service that I haven't received at a restaurant for a long time. Very patient and made us feel like the only customers in the store. Njabulo is really an asset to the establishment.

What a come back. I have to eat my words. Fantastic service and people. I recorded a review that was less than complimentary. Thabiso called me and asked me to visit again. I did. I tried the same burger that I complained about and WOW. So guys, you are officially so much better than what I thought. Your friendliness and service is top notch. Well done and thank you for restoring my delight in your food.
