Currently the best pizza in JHB , look forward to the new menu . Also probably the best wine by the glass list in JHB and overall great wine list, you have a winner here James Robyn

My second time here, both times were wonderful, the foreign guests I had with me tonight declared everything excellent. The food is scrumptious, the cocktails and wine wonderful, the staff diligent, and friendly. The only possible criticism is that we found ourselves much too full to try dessert, but there is always next time :

Outstanding food, wine and atmosphere. Highly recommend any of the Wild Boar dishes, the Farmers Board and the Lamb Pizza with the selection of Gelato’s to top it all off.

I was super impressed with Il Contadino! Even though the restaurant is new, the service was impeccable, the waiter was knowledgeable and the food was superb! I had the short rib and everything served was amazing, even the salad which is usually just a plain add on was delicious! I’ll be back!

I have the pleasure of recommending this awesome establishment based on incredible customer care, I experiences a dissatisfactory meal two weeks ago and due to this was invited to return complimentary to my delight everything I had complained about had been rectified including service and not only a delightful meal but great attention to detail. Thank you Il Contadino for putting my faith back into your wonderful restaurant,, ill definitely be back,,,,
