Flaming Galah's - Norwich

I’ve tried almost every pie on the menu from steak and ale to the vegan options and they are, without exception, superb. The only downside is that after tasting Flaming Galah pies, any other pies are a disappointment!

Best pie you’ll ever have! Favourite Nodge food stop. Great value, lovely people and talented at what they do. Always got absolutely amazing specials, but don’t let that stop you trying the whole of the rest of the menu because they’re all . Be sure to pre-order A) to ensure you get a pie as they often sell out fast, and B) to keep these legends making pies as good as they come!

Found this place when on Ber Street, embarrassingly asking how long they’d been open, expecting to find out it was a new business only to find out it had been there nearly a decade. I opted for the Bonza Aussie, a cheese and steak pie with the mash, peas and gravy, it was delicious. My wife opted for The Grill; the satay chicken pie, which was equally delicious, all for £14, which I thought was more than fair.

Went along with a mate after the football and we had pre-ordered a Penang and a Canary pie, mine being the Penang. It was piping hot upon receipt and remained so until we found a bench to sit on down the road. Upon opening the box and digging in, I realised I had found the ultimate pie. The mash and peas were beautiful and when breaking into the pie through the glorious pastry, I got to the Penang filling. It was indeed the tastiest pie filling I'd ever come across and with the epic pastry, mash and peas (and a dribble of gravy), this was pure food porn. It was a fairly spicy filling which is what I wanted, and the beef was generous in portion. I'll be coming back that's for sure, to try some of their other fillings. Keep up the good work.

What can I say?? The pie with mash, peas and gravy was a lush even on a sunny day! Ample of fillings and an affordable price of £7 for the whole works. They have variety of choices which suits everyone’s palate. Oh did I say that the service was great too :
