Accidentally discovered this gem: vegan nut based ice cream shop with outdoor seating on this plaza -parking lot decorated with mural art. What a interesting place in itself, you feel transported into a parallel colorful reality. We tried the orange blossom and salted caramel flavors. The smallest size is $4. Loved the delicately sweet and fragrant orange blossom. Salted caramel was good too— not too sweet and with a slight burned flavor-def an adult type of flavor. I loved the plastic free packaging. Pamela was super friendly.
Small vegan ice cream place that was based in Stamford for the last 6 years, but just opened up a space in Norwalk right at the beginning of the pandemic. Since they have only been open during the pandemic they do not have any indoor seating, however the space is very nice and it looks like they will eventually. They have some nice outdoor seating as well. Their are ~6 different flavors of ice cream, some basic (vanilla, chocolate, etc and some more original (salted caramel, cappuccino, etc . They have both pints and individual servings, but they do not have cones. They also have the wood spoon/stick things in place of spoons. The ice cream tastes very nutty (crazy right?!? and pretty different than normal ice cream. The woman who works there is very affable. IQ: 3 O: 0
Stopped by the shop today for the first time and loved it! Good mix of classic flavors and interesting experiments. We tried vanilla, cappuccino and orange blossom and my personal favorite is Moroccan rose: floral on the note with nice spice notes! Lovely flavor and the texture is smooth and not icy like some vegan ice cream options. No glad to have tried it and will stop by again and again! Lovely addition to the Wall Street area of Norwalk.
I gave it 2 stars for the location. Easy parking and near the great art park. We are always on the look out for vegan items. We are in a pandemic and CT's COVID numbers are spiking. We walk in and see someone making ice cream with no mask in sight, breathing over the food while mixing ingredients. It wasn't even a hot day. It seemed like a make shift process. When the person mixing the ice cream I'm a bowl coughed and didn't even cover her mouth we were done. If they are doing that in front of customers then what is happening behind the scenes. Our whole family is vegan and I was ready to buy lots of flavors and lots of ice cream for the freezer. Unfortunately we just left without purchasing anything.
