Delamere Station House - Northwich

On a picturesque Sunday morning stroll in sunny Delamere, we were delighted to stumble upon Delamere House Café. With the sun shining down and the sound of chirping birds, the allure of hot chocolates for the little ones and rich coffees for the adults was irresistible. The bacon butties and sausage butties were simply divine hearty and flavorful, leaving a mark of satisfaction. Even amidst a noticeable queue, the service was swift and stellar, ensuring minimal wait times. A special shoutout to the veggie stack an absolute treat for the taste buds. If you find yourself in Delamere forest, I cannot recommend Delamere House Café enough for a delightful pitstop. We’ll certainly be making a return visit.

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, food arrived in a reasonable time and the prices were good. My only criticism is that the table and the place mats were in need of a good clean. I did see a member of staff clean the table next to me, she used a spray bottle and all I can assume is that the solution was not strong enough. Our table was exceptionally sticky to the point that my hands stuck to the surface. It made me not want to lean on the table. Due to covid 19 I would expect hygiene to be of a higher standard. Hoping it was just an oversight. Everything else was great. Just read a review from a couple of years ago that mentions sticky tables too. The reason given was the use of sanitizer! Santitizer is for hands not tables. Maybe deep clean your tables when the cafe is closed and then use generic anti bacterial spray during service. Not sure you would pass a food hygiene test especially if this is an ongoing issue for multiple years. Thank you for your response. Good to know about the spray. It's a shame that it leaves such a horrid residue. It's so unappealing when eating. Could the tables not be refinished? It may stop you receiving the same comment in future.

Enjoyed a wonderful Immersive Sound Bath experience at Delamere Station Cafe. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Claire made us very welcome and explained the whole process which enabled us to immediately relax and get the best from the session. I will definitely be booking on the next session. I’ve visited the cafe many times and enjoyed some delicious meals in a great setting. The desserts are amazing and the ice cream parkour is always a special treat after a walk in Delamere. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. Great secure parking and easy access to the building and facilities. Well worth a visit and check out the other special experience workshops activities on the web site. X
