From the minute you arrive your made to feel welcome by the staff who meet you at the door the bacon bap is overflowing and delicious the soup and choice of sandwiches after the first 18 holes equally as nice, nice setting overlooking one of the greens, would definitely return

We thought we would take advantage of this offer during the summer hols. I emailed to ask about the offer and received prompt replies. Two adults chose a main course each, £10.95 per meal and our three children received their main courses free. The kids chose from the children’s menu which had a good choice and the portion sizes were very good. The meals were certainly fresh and tasty. There was no quibble over the free meals when it came to payment. The service was friendly. It was very quiet when we visited so that may be why there was no atmosphere. The room is a little dreary. It overlooks the golf course. Nice to have visited but we probably wouldn’t go out of our way to visit again.

This restaurant is primarily frequented by golfers who are playing at Matfen. I found the interior to be dark and gloomy which left me with a feeling of not wanting to return.

We were warmly welcomed at the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the well-priced soft drinks. The food was delicious and served in large portions. I ordered the gammon egg chips and was so satisfied that I could have easily eaten another serving. My golf buddy opted for the scampi and also enjoyed his meal. We both appreciated the excellent service provided.

We enjoyed a delicious meal both before and after our round of golf. The prices were reasonable and we had a lovely view overlooking the course.
