The Duck House - Northumberland

Our booking was cancelled by the Duck House due to either a food or hygene issue so I cannot complete a review

We were delighted to be able to secure a booking at this busy restaurant, as we had heard good reports and we were not disappointed. We were given a warm welcome and when presented with the specials menu we were spoilt for choice. The food was very well presented and very tasty too two of us chose chicken in pancetta and one the duck with beetroot, both dishes were beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The pulled chicken tarragon balls were delicious and would make a great bar snack or part of a tapas selection. There were three of us dining so we tried all three deserts and found it hard to choose our favourite but the salted caramel and dark chocolate cup won in the end. Great food, good atmosphere we'll definitely be back well done ..!!

The food was delicious and it was all freshly cooked The service was good and the girls were friendly It was busy but I could hear conversations as the tables were quite near each other I would go back

Had a beautiful meal, Top Drawer without the High price. Will definitely go back.

Perfect spot for a family Sunday lunch, nicely tucked away. Food was delicious and service was great. I can definitely recommend leaving room for pudding because they were amazing One to to return to, time and again
