Mogul Raj - Northumberland

Visited here for the first time last week and was really disappointed. Service was really slow throughout the meal, the initial problem was that the papadums were visibly burnt and was confirmed by the first taste. I was also disappointed over the size of my mixed kebab starter and my meat thali main. The taste of the offering was OK but at over £55 I thought it very expensive for what it was. I live in South Shields which must be the curry capital of this area so I may be spoilt for choice. I suggest you try elsewhere if quality and portion size are at the top of your list of priorities at this price point.

I recently came back from a wonderful family birthday dinner at Mogul Raj. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top-notch with great attention to detail. Without a doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to.

This is the best Indian restaurant in the area. Eight of us dined here tonight, six of whom had never been before but will definitely be returning. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The staff are fantastic.
