Lotus House Take-away - Northumberland

I was disappointed with this restaurant. The food was flavorless and lacked distinct flavors. We ordered three dishes and they all tasted very similar. Even the prawn crackers were bland.

Usually food is spot on tonight was disappointing chow mein was bland and salt and pepper chips were flavourless. So all round food was a fail

Worse Chinese meal I have ever had.there was more and grease in the curry sauce than there was actual curry.chips were reheats which were also freezing cold by the time I got home which is not a long way.needless to say I will never being eating from here again

This restaurant is extremely difficult to contact. It seems like they are not answering the phone intentionally. When you finally manage to place a delivery order, they promise it will be ready in 15 minutes, but in reality, it takes much longer - sometimes up to an hour and 15 minutes. When you call to complain, they claim your food is still being prepared in the kitchen, even though it has been over an hour since the promised delivery time. If this restaurant was not conveniently located near me, I would not choose to eat there again.

Ordered a takeaway via their website for a Saturday night delivery 19:30. Received a confirmation email. Food was delivered 19:27 and was very hot. Great portion sizes and lots of meat in the dishes. Have used several times before and each time it is the same high standard.
