The Funnel House - Northridge

The restaurant offers very generous portions, definitely not meant for just one person. I ordered the churro sundae, which was good, but the serving size was overwhelming. I struggled to finish my meal, as it was just too much. The sundae comes with two scoops of ice cream and two churros, and it costs around $15. I would recommend bringing a friend to share the portions!

The prices here are quite high. The ice is good, but it's something you can find elsewhere for half the price. The churro is $6 for just one, which is smaller than the ones from Costco. While it is fresh, it wasn't cooked long enough. The outside had a slight crispiness, but the inside was too soft—almost overly soft. The flavors were decent, but the texture of the churro didn't justify the price. I only tried the churro and the ice cream.

I'm not quite sure what they've done with the interior decor of this place. It feels like they might be trying to recreate a specific vibe, but it's not working. The cement floors could have been a nice touch if they had been clean, but unfortunately, they were quite dirty. The music was so loud that we struggled to hear the server when we were ordering. The funnel cake was delicious—it's hard to get fried dough just right! However, paying $10 for a plain funnel cake felt excessive, especially considering the poor customer service, the noisy environment, and the unclean floors.

Do you want karneval quality funnel cake? they will not get it here, because the funnel house is far superior! besides the friendly workers and taking up late hours, the funnel cake is lighter, fluffier, and the beats are made to home. yes, the impact cream is made in the house, like the strawberry topping. I have always got funnel cake when I went to the mess or a free time park, but they were always so dense and greasy, and it just sat in my likes after. I'm not sure about the other fruit toppings, but the strawberry is made with basic ingredients, and they can say it. it from an industrial size dose of pie goo. they have other desserts and fruit toppings, but I still dare over the excellent funnel cake with whipped cream and strawberries. I just went to the trade fair and didn't even get my usual order of funnel cake because it was in comparison to the funnel house pal.

Poor service. I was the only person in the store except for 2 guests who were already sitting down and finishing up their food. I waited in line patiently for several minutes and there was a person up front frying some churros the entire time. Eventually, without even bothering to look up at me they mumbled something and went back to frying. The guests who were seated got up to leave and one guest said thanks! and good evening loudly to the cook and the guest was just ignored. It was very quiet so there was no way they didn 't hear them. After several more minutes of being ignored I walked out and left. I came to support this store after I heard they were robbed and unfortunately the person working there robbed them of a customer.
