Stay here on business trip, very friendly staff, tasty pub food and a nice relaxing place to stay, would definatley stay again

Excellent time had by all the family. Helpful staff and nothing too much trouble for them. Lovely setting by the river. Would highly recommend The Ferryman to everyone.

This is such a lovely location, very peaceful. We booked a family room for one night which was adequate, the ensuite bathroom was however off putting, very run down and in need of updating! The shower door didn't close properly and leaked over the floor, mildew on the wall above shower which gave off a horrible frousty damp smell, just really not a place you want to strip off. We had booked to have dinner in the restaurant that evening, very pleasant bar staff. Unfortunately the biggest let down was the food! Chicken burgers were birds eyes finest served with a half defrosted bap which was chewy, the steak and ale pie most definitely looked like a pukka' served with (wait for it)..instant mashed potato!!!! Which the famous powdery smash taste gave if away! It didn't come with gravy as the kitchen was too busy to make some...disgraceful! The fish in batter was again another Frozen' favourite that we had waited 45 minutes for!! The dinner was a complete disaster and completely overpriced!! VERY disappointed. Over all if your after a pint and a packet of crisps sat outside by the river then this is most definitely the place to go but I wouldn't want to stay there again for the money we paid and I would most definitely stay clear of the restaurant! Over priced and understaffed.
