I’ve been trying to recreate your delicious Carolina sauce at home, making pulled pork and practicing, but nothing compares to your original recipes. I used to love coming in, enjoying your food and drinks, and every time I drive by and see it replaced by Parry’s, it just breaks my heart. I’ve tried visiting the location in Aurora a few times, but I end up going to Famous Dave’s and using my homemade Carolina sauce instead. What will it take for you to come back? Your bartenders were fantastic, and your servers always greeted me with a smile. I genuinely want you back.
We dined at Jim 'N Nick's on a Friday night at 5:30, and fortunately, we didn't have to wait to be seated. Our server, Amanda, was fantastic. My wife ordered the Loaded Mac 'n Cheese with brisket, while I opted for a brisket sandwich on sourdough. The brisket sandwich was delicious, but the Mac 'n Cheese arrived cold. Amanda checked in with us shortly after our meal, and we informed her about the temperature issue. In under two minutes, the manager brought out a freshly made portion and waited to ensure it met our expectations. The new serving was warm and tasted great. Overall, the food was excellent, the issue was resolved quickly, and the service was outstanding!
I visited this restaurant with friends and ordered the blackened catfish, which was truly delicious. My sister and friends also enjoyed their meals. The highlight of the evening was when they brought us a sample of their prime rib—it was a generous, tasty portion. Next time we go back, we all plan to order the prime rib!
Service was absolutely amazing. From the moment we went to the door, the hostess greeted us with a big smile and sat down immediately. Our server was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. It was also our first time here, so we received 2 pieces of cake complementary. The pecan pie was fantastic. Order the pig and beef briquettes. Such tastefully smoked beef breeze But a little at the expensive end. The pulled pig is best mixed with its original BBQ and Habanero BBQ sauce. Overall, it was a good experience. We will definitely return to try more items in the menu and possibly the Tacos.
Three of us went on a Thursday evening around 630pm and were seated in the main dining area without any waiting. Ordered and the food came out in about 15 20 mins. We had the spare ribs (3lbs) with BBQ chips, and wife had the catfish (grilled). All dishes were warm, in big servings, and tasted very good. We were told that this is Alabama style BBQ, which was just as well for us. Family friendly atmosphere and good, friendly service. Decent prices given the large portions. Didn't drink alcohol, but there's a good sized bar too. Go it's a good bet for a nice family dinner out.
