Psycho Chicken - Northbridge

A friend recommended Psycho Chicken's chicken and beef burgers to me, and I was blown away. The taste reminded me of the burgers you used to get from fish and chip shops in the 1980s. The burgers were succulent and juicy, topped with delicious sauces, tomatoes, and lettuce on a soft fresh bun. They have a wide variety of burgers, meals to take home, chicken dishes, wraps, and desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious!

There are plenty of better chicken shops in the area than this one. The chicken burger seemed to be a reheated frozen patty, and the chips were undercooked.

Should have read the first review here before trying this place. I always try to be generous in reviews, hard to be about Psycho Chicken Northbridge. Tried this last week for a quick late lunch BIG MISTAKE. Food inedible the bread was stale and had mould! Complaint received by staff in silence and without comment or offer of refund. Seldom in my life and travels to many places; have I encountered such awful food and ignorant service. For what it is even if the food was good and the service amiable it would still have been over priced!

The Portuguese chicken at this restaurant is way overpriced at 20-30% higher than other places. To make matters worse, the burger only had a small piece of chicken. The chicken was overcooked, and it took them a long time to prepare. The peri peri sauce was too sweet, as well.

Don't go there for the chicken it like they don't care about the chicken. The burgers are the highlight in an otherwise average offering. Drive a bit further to Willoughby if you want chicken.
