Contribuiți la feedbackWe made a last-minute booking at Bivouac for a party of 17 people with various dietary restrictions, which is never easy. However, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food was delicious, the service was seamless, and the staff were amazing. Kudos to all the employees at Bivouac, we had a fantastic dining experience. The team is happy.
Many eat in the banquet course feed me menu. worth for money. friendly staff. easy to find, available paid parking available near to foot.
Pleasantly surprised with the experience to eat here. my partner and I ordered the "feed me" 4-course dinner. while at $75 per person the price was always high, I think we received great value in the quality of the food that was delivered. Every table was rich in a mixture of delicate aromas, I couldn't mistake it. Although I am not a huge fan of mushroom, the sauces and oils were served amazingly with their fried mushroom dish. in many of the “Fancier” restaurants perth has to offer, I think bivouac overtakes what I tried there. I also received a drink in the house, which was a nice note.
Nothing bad, but nothing exciting about this meal. service was good, but not exceptional. falafels very bland, cousin kürbissalat was ok, but a salty element was missing, huh was not cooked well at all dry, but the skin could be more attentive. overall fine,...but not expecting the expectations of the review level or quality expected for price.
Having a love for Middle Eastern flavours and ingredients, I was recommended Bivouac by a work colleague a few years back. I always have wanted to go, and decided it would be the choice of venue for a friend catch-up dinner. The menu sounded delicious,...so not having breakfast or lunch all day, I was looking forward to my dinner there. When I arrived, the place was full so it’s a good sign the place is popular. I was shown to my seat and whilst waiting for friends the waitress offered water and to get me a drink, and mentioned that due to the next reservation they may need the table back an hour and three quarters later. I mentioned I wish to order dessert and if possible to have a bit longer as I hadn’t seen my friends for a while. The staff were accommodating in my request and we were able to have the table a bit longer. The staff were friendly, attentive and not too intrusive. But the food was a complete let down. We ordered a few starters to share, the halloumi was delicious, the beetroot hummus was ok aswell as the falafels. But my friend and I ordered the baharat chicken and it was bland and boring. The chicken was rather oily, and the dish was unenjoyable lacking flavour. My friend thought the same. My other friend ordered the eggplant main, that came to the table about 15 minutes after our mains came, and half of that was left on the plate too, she didn’t enjoy hers either. I’m a dessert person and was looking forward to the tahini panna cotta, but that was uninteresting too and just seemed to lack flavour. Very disappointed with the experience and scratching my head as to why this place is popular.
