Econo Lodge Inn Suites - Northborough

I could basically write a novel about how disgusting this place was. Started with a rude indifferent front desk person. I requested a non-smoking room. If this is really important to you, as it is to me, don't bother staying here at all. I'm pretty sure there is no such thing. I almost passed out from the disgusting smell that came out of the room when I opened the door to 209. My boyfriend went down to the front desk to ask for Lysol and was told they didn't have any. Upon pushing and demanding he did manage to get some Febreze but I still wasn't comfortable with the cleanliness of the room. Cigarette Burns in the furniture, rug and bedspread. At least the sheets smelled clean. It's the sort of motel that people live in. Nothing against them, but they look at you like you're invading their space. Very uncomfortable. If you have any standards at all DO NOT STAY HERE.

I booked room for 2 days with microwave and fridge facility. When I check in the room microwave was not available. I reported to the reception but even after promise , no action was taken to provide services promised in the advertisement. Even for toilet paper replenishment was a issue. Extremely poor management. My family is disappointed on my decision to book Econo Lodge Inn and Suites.

Air conditioner works full blast or not at all.. woke up to 50* in my room

Choice Hotels should be ashamed to be associated with this awful place! Never again! I must have been sleep deprived when I booked it. Of course if was non refundable so we were stuck. Very dirty; cigarette burns everywhere from when you first walk in to check in to ALL the bedding in the room and all the furniture. I slept on top of the bedding because I was not about to crawl under those sheets. The bathtub had some kind of black spots on it so didnt use it. I didnt bother to check what they put out for breakfast because the entire place was so dirty. I couldnt figure out why I couldn't get the TV to work; discovered that the batteries were missing! This shows the attentiveness they pay to their rooms. DO NOT STAY HERE! I couldn't wait to get out of there.Rooms: Disgusting room all around.Safety: Only the lock on the door worked; the bolt did not. This is a motel, no indoor corridors or elevator so you're walking up dark stairs to get to to the room. Neighborhood seemed sketchy.

FIND ANOTHER NEARBY HOTEL. Absolutely terrible compared to several other Econo Lodge Inns where I have stayed on past road trips.Room was dirty and had an unpleasant odor, A/C works terrible because the outside vent is so clogged with dust, no hangers and no place in the room to hang anything anyway, no chairs outside, just one musty smelly chair in the room. The entire hotel is run down, old, dingy, and it's very obvious nobody takes a bit of pride in this place. The mattresses have multiple stains and BURN HOLES in them... in a NON-smoking room. Not even a box of tissues, and not even a spare roll of toilet paper. Oh but there IS some used bubble gum stuck to the wall! Water leak stains on the bathroom ceiling tiles. The kicker was the door to our room would not even close and lock properly.Deserves ZERO stars. The staff is oblivious to how run down and disappointing this property has become.I am thinking I will avoid Econo Lodge entirely in the future just because of how bad THIS ONE is. DO NOT STAY HERE.
