Casta Diva - Northborough

My veal scallopini with mushrooms and Gorgonzola in a Chianti Demi glaze was delicious. My husband ordered the haddock dish, also ample and delicious. Unfortunately, the bread was quite bland and literally tasteless. Our chosen, accompanied pastas didn’t taste any different from boxed and would have wished for butter and garlic as ordered. Our dinners took a bit longer than accustomed and hoped both orders would come out at the same time. The restaurant was only half full at best. Definitely would go back again, food better than most and hopeful with a few modifications.

The staff were all very nice but service was extremely slow. After being seated it was an hour before we received bread and probably another half hour after that before we got our food. I did go on Valentine's day but I had a reservation. It is possible they were understaffed but we were not warned about any delays before or after being seated at all. The food was ok but portions were not in line with what other Italian restaurants tend to give for the same price.

Food was excellent. Staff was friendly, but the time to get food was painfully long.

First time here. We'd go back but, to sit on the deck during a hot summer day and see how that goes. Took my wife here for Valentines. In my initial request asked to be seated by a window but unfortunately, the only window seat left was what I would call the lounge it was loud and the ambience was, well.... lounge like. The main dining room had white table cloths. Had I known the restaurant, I would have asked for a window seat in the main dining room. We started out with calamari. While my wife liked it, I thought it tasted a little off, it tasted fishy which is unusual for calamari. Next we received our caesar salads. They were bland, almost tasteless. Then we received out main course. I had veal, I believe the Vitello Chianti or might have been something similar not on the main menu which was pretty good. My wife had the Lobster Ravioli. It was drenched in sauce (too much) and there was very little lobster. The stuffing appears to have had lobster and cheese blended into a paste consistency. It lacked the lobster taste and texture. The service and the Amarone we ordered were great. While disappointed with the food and getting seated in the lounge area, we enjoyed ourselves. Would I recommended the Restaurant? It would have to be a qualified yes, not a flat out Yeah, its great. There is room for improvement here....
