The Griffin Inn - Northampton

Now, let's talk about the food. The roast was outstanding; everything was cooked perfectly, and there was a wonderful selection of vegetables. I know many other pubs could learn a thing or two from the Griffin about how to run a pub restaurant effectively. The desserts were just as impressive. Overall, it was an excellent value meal and a real gem for us. We definitely plan to return soon, and this time we’ll make an effort to arrive on time. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team!

We visited for lunch and the food dishes we had ranged from very poor to mediocre. My wife’s parmesan and pea risotto resembled a thick stodgy porridge and was inedible. To make matters worse, the young man who was serving us had a really bad attitude when I checked to make sure we weren’t being charged for the risotto. Will not be returning. Price per person: £20–30

Five of us enjoyed lunch on October 28th and had a fantastic experience. We ordered from the senior citizens' menu, which was an excellent value at £12.95 for three courses. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff were very helpful in a pleasant setting. I have to give five stars for the chips! We will certainly be back.
