Oriental Garden - Northampton

We have the "all they can eat" for traditional Chinese dishes (which so few Chinese restaurants actually offer) and we were not disappointed. it was absolutely delicious. we had carved with garlic, chili and spring onions and bark in chili oil (like a Szechuan pepperstock) and pak choi. it was just perfect! perfectly seasoned, full of taste. the bark stock had the slight citrus-y-touch from the pfeffer grains. very happy and I will come back soon to get more of the traditional dishes! 4,* as a mandatory 10% service fee is added. we were happy with the service we received, but I don't think this should be obligatory.

The Oriental Garden Chinese Restaurant in Northampton is well worth a visit, it has a relaxed environment and every dish was well cooked and tasty. I did take off 1 star, as some of us didn't eat meat when we asked what the dishes were as they were brought to us, the waitress just shrugged and said don't know!

We had the buffet and the food was fabulous and service was good, the waiters/waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Iv took a star off as I don't understand how they can justify charging a 4 5 year old £12 each when they had a few mouthfuls of food. When I queried this before we ordered I wasn't given a clear answer or a different option that would of been better for the kids and was told its just what they charge. Other than that the food was great and we will be visiting again, just not with the kids!
