Balti Central - Northampton

Popped in for a meal while the kids were at a party in gravity. Wow, the food was spot on. It was hot, looked as good as it tasted, good portion sizes and the price was reasonable. The loaded naan was superb. The staff were friendly and attentive. Cannot fault it one bit. I think this is our new Indian restaurant .

Conveniently positioned across the road from the hotel, the 2017 “Best Balti” winner sign was a definite plus. Really friendly staff in a very empty restaurant. However, I ordered my takeaway and hoped it was just a quiet night. Sadly, no. The Balti was mostly mush and tasting of very little but a mixture of spices not akin to any known recipe. However the Naan was delicious. Things have gone downhill, I fear, since 2017.

I don’t leave many reviews, but sometimes a place is just so exceptional, I simply had to! We’ve been going to Balti Central for at least 12 years now and have found the food, the staff, and the prices simply outstanding, the icing on the cake is that although they have an alcohol license they also allow customers to bring their own drinks, which is incredibly fair. Just brilliant!

We had a group of 8, table booked for 5:30, despite the restaurant being busy, every care was taken to ensure we had a great time. Food service was superb

19 of us, seated upstairs, lovely service from the staff team. Food was tasty, hot and large portions, naans size of 2 dinner plates! Would recommend for groups, park in Sol Central
