Umami House Xiān Wèi Wū - North York

One of my favourite places to get takeout from in the area. Everything on the menu is good, you can’t go wrong with any options. However they need to do better on handling busy times on the weekend. I called in my order at 7:53pm tonight and was not handed my food until 9:00pm. Completely unacceptable for a restaurant where takeout/Uber Eats is their bread and butter. Beware ordering on Friday and Saturday nights or simply eat in.

Mixed impression: fantastic food, hospitable and friendly, but they forgot to bring us miso soup and garden salat for sushi and sashimi deluxe set, a bit disappointed..Parking: A lot of free parking lots

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Umami House, and I must say it was a delightful experience. It's great to see a sushi restaurant that ventures beyond the expected and adds variety to its menu.The highlight of the meal for my family was the salmon and salmon avocado hand rolls. They were expertly prepared, and the flavors were simply outstanding. My daughter and son couldn't get enough of them, and it's always a joy to see them thoroughly enjoy their food.What sets Umami House apart is the wide range of options available on their menu. In addition to sushi, they offer bubble tea, grilled dishes, baked pasta, and rice options. This makes it a perfect destination for groups with diverse tastes, as there is something to satisfy everyone's cravings. Whether you're in the mood for a light snack or a hearty meal, Umami House has you covered.I must also mention the watermelon juice, which was a pleasant surprise. It was incredibly refreshing, and the natural sweetness of the watermelon was perfectly balanced. Probably it'd be great to have a Halloween's party in there next time.Unfortunately our Spaghetti order came really late [30 mins waiting] when everyone else already finished with their meals.Overall it was an enjoyable experience, and we'll definitely return.

Very impressed by the quality !! We always order from home, so first time actually dining in, and the presentation, taste, choice is even better !! Only ordered sushis this time, but we also like the grilled chicken and beef, poke bowl and smaller sushis trays on different occasion!! Well recommend !!
