Smoke 'n' Roti - North York

I have been eating Roti ever since I was a kid (adult). I have eaten from many restaurants throughout Toronto over the years. Smoke 'N ' Roti has been making high quality and delicious consistently even surviving the difficult pandemic quarantine years which have killed many great restaurants. Just a taste of the food will help you to understand why. Their menu is extensive and delicious. The skins (bread) of the Roti are phenomenal. You can tell without a shadow of a doubt that they are made fresh. The Roti skins are delicious, not too dry. Yet they avoid being too greasy. These two qualities speak to the skill and precision of the cooking here. You can also request for spice on the side, which you can add manually. There is the option to have a intense spicy Roti experience and an option to order extra spicy sauce containers on the side. This system is ingenious because you can choose how spicy you want your Roti can be on the fly. It 's really valuable to get a feel for your spice tolerance, and if you want a fraction of your Roti to be spicy, you gain the ability to choose on a bite by bite basis. Overall, the quality of service is amazing. The staff are effective communicators, and make you feel at home going the extra mile to enhance your experience of enjoying the delicious food. The restaurant is well taken care of, and a clear effort is made to make the place look clean, organized, and colorful. This restaurant goes above and beyond in many aspects and I can recommend it wholeheartedly.

What an amazing experience. I was presented samples from the chef and decided to go with the Goat Roti. Not only it reinvigorated my taste buds but left my belly full till the next day. An absolut 5 star ? review. Well done!

The people at this restaurant have an amazing heart. I randomly walked in and asked a question, the response was an immediate yes. They supported a local summer program for 100 kids with ice cold freezies, perfect for the type of weather and outdoor event we had. This type of care isn’t on their menu of things to order so it says a lot about the passion they have for the local community. We appreciate you! Thanks!

I first visited this place after reading through many good reviews and have never been disappointed! I come back every week to get rotis for myself and my partner and can easily say their jerk chicken roti is our favorite compared to any other Caribbean restaurants! The smoky flavour and spices they use can be tasted in every bite and if you get their hot sauce too wow! Just elevates it to another level.I’d highly recommend trying this place out you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

We absolutely adore dining at this restaurant! Whenever I'm craving roti, this is the place I always go to. The atmosphere and customer service are exceptional. The food is always fresh and delicious. My daughter particularly enjoys visiting this restaurant because she is always welcomed with warm smiles and even receives a special treat or gift. Today, she had a fun little dance party with Tee while we waited for our food to be ready.
