Scarlet Ibis Family Restaurant

Good food but weird location. Lots of seating, average customer service, TVs to watch games, and a small buffet they have almost if not everyday from 12-3 I believe. Could do with some renovations or a makeover. Not very kid friendly though as they have pictures of scantily dressed women behind the bar. I don't come here often but when I do it's for takeout.

This buffet style lunch for $9.85 offers the best pot roast mutton in Toronto. It is flavoured with a cassava styled sauce(Cassreep) and it tastes just fantastic. I go there once a week on Wednesdays for lunch. I also get the rice with pigeon peas, some Guyanese styled Chow Mein and Chinese styled fried chicken. Sometimes I may try some curried chicken with roti and curried potato. The place is nice and clean with really superb service with a very relaxing ambience. This place is a must for lunch if you are anywhere near Eglinton and Victoria Park.

Had dinner with a group of family and friends at this restaurant. Refreshing atmosphere with the absence of loud bar music. Neat and clean with d appealing. Thoroughly enjoyed the plantain and potato balls that so much reminded us of Guyana.Good food and pride of ownership evident. Met with the owner Mark and quiteimpressed with his family theme. Will certainly be back!!

I stopped in here to grab a chicken stew, and a curry. Everything was excellent. HIghly recommend the stew, or beef curry

A great place for booking large events as the staff works hard to keep everyone happy. The food, which was served buffet style, was very good but have had better meals there before... a different variety perhaps. Still an outstanding day.
