Pho Chay 88 - North York

Good vegetarian place. The area its in is not so nice but this hidden gem is really good vegetarian options and plentiful seating friendly owner and staff. Food was good and very good pricing for vegetarian options. The food depending on what your ordering can be oily so maybe mention that before ordering. The iced coffee was a let down for me as I saw em use instant powder and shake not worth in my opinion. The dinner options was plentiful as seen in menu will come back and try others

It is difficult to find a bowl of Vegetarian Pho that is superior to the ones offered at this restaurant in the city. The unlimited supply of fresh herbs in the bowl is comforting and satisfying. Pho Hue is a must-visit on a chilly evening. Being a family-run establishment means that recipes have been handed down through generations.

Ok. If you are looking for an amazing bowl of Pho, you're Vegetarian or Vegan, check this place out, the broth is amazing, all the ingredients are incredible and the owner is so friendly. In fact I'm going back today for Family Day! LOL Highly recommend Pho Chay 88 on Jane Street!

I don't like to give poor reviews but I was expecting a better and tastier experience at Pho Chay 88. We ordered the buon bo hue, buon rieu, com tam, and buon mam all vegan style. I had the buon rieu and it tasted quite bland and not very tasty. Buon rieu is crab tomato noodle goodness. I felt there wasn't even much tomato in it. There was a lot of seitan in different textures and it added to the dish. However, overall, this meal was honestly difficult to stomach. The com tam's seitan was also very cold and did not taste good. Service was fast but the waiter was not wearing his mask at all. We were not asked our vaccination passports. We had an inkling that we should have left when we entered but we just wanted to try it out. This restaurant also has many customers so we thought it was a good sign. However, I would not come back here.

First time come to this place and the food is not that bad. The service is nice but one thing I don't like is the owners doesn't wear a masks when serving customers never wear masks in the store.
