Contribuiți la feedbackI?ve been here twice, once for my cousin?s rehearsal dinner and then I brought a non-Armenian friend for lunch. I was so thrilled the food met his expectations (having tried other Middle Eastern food . I had the lentil soup, and combo for 1 with kebab, lebneh and rice. They do a great job and I left with a couple bottles of Jermuk and a compote from Armenia (together they make a great flavoured soda or base for cocktails! It?s lovely to have a new Armenian restaurant to support.
The staff are so polite and friendly. The food was great, we had Tanabour (yogurt soup with barley , French fries fried with garlic, Kebab with rice and noodle, and Vegetarian manti. All great and delicious but Manti was okay, not my favourite. I will go back to try more foods.
On one occasion, we placed an order for a specific pickup time, but the food was ready much earlier and arrived cold. Another time, when I walked in, none of the staff were wearing their masks properly. When I raised the concern, I was told, "I'm Armenian, and they know me, so it's fine." A few weeks later, I found a piece of hair in my food. The final straw for writing this review was when the fries tasted like they had been microwaved, and the chicken appeared to be a leftover piece that had been reheated, leaving it overcooked. The restaurant itself looks immaculate, and the marketing and presentation are impressive, which creates high expectations about the dining experience. Unfortunately, the essential aspects of customer service and food quality are lacking. Additionally, the portion sizes often vary, and the quality of the food has noticeably declined. Another issue I encountered was the cost: I paid $70 for three meals and drinks, which feels more like the price of dining in a restaurant rather than a takeaway. Given my past experiences, I’m unsure why I would return to spend money on such poor service and subpar food with small portions. As an Armenian, I genuinely wanted to support local businesses, but after these experiences, I don’t think I’ll return. I would advise others to be cautious based on my experiences. You're welcome to visit if you don't mind overpriced food and the chance of receiving decent meals amidst a backdrop of unenthusiastic service.
I can't say enough good things about the staff. They opened the patio earlier than anticipated on the first day it was allowed. We were just looking for a place to sit, and they even brought us water. Unfortunately, we visited before indoor dining was permitted, but the decor was spot on. It was my first experience with Armenian cuisine, and it was fantastic. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend checking it out! If you're concerned about COVID, they also offer takeout!
The best salad with a meal set I've ever had! It was packed with delicious details: ripe tomatoes, fresh lettuce, crunchy cucumbers, olives, herbs, cheese, and delightful pita croutons. The beef fillet was fine, and the dip was decent. However, I absolutely loved the rice—great flavor and texture! The kebbeh was tasty, but I was expecting it to come with a dipping sauce, so I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't one.
