Dumpling King - North York

THIS IS A GENUINE REVIEW. I went to this restaurant after seeing positive feedback, but I was extremely disappointed. I didn't have high expectations, but I at least expected decent customer service. When I arrived on a Sunday afternoon, there was no one else dining there. The server was in the kitchen chatting with someone, and after waiting five minutes without any help, we decided to leave. To my surprise, the server came out to the parking lot to ask if we wanted to stay and eat. Seriously?! Save your money and choose another place—this restaurant clearly doesn't value it.

Finding the restaurant was a bit challenging, but it was definitely worth the effort. We opted to sample a range of dishes based on a recommendation from one of the staff members, and we were thoroughly impressed. Every suggestion was excellent, and we had no complaints whatsoever. The bao and soup dumplings were our favorites. The portions were quite generous, leaving us with plenty to take home. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. We will definitely be coming back!

The quality of the food here is outstanding and incredibly tasty. Their pan-fried dumplings are a real treat—crispy, chewy, tender, and full of flavor. The beef noodle dish is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, with a flawless texture. The service is attentive and impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in search of excellent, high-quality Chinese cuisine!

Excellent quality! Truly satisfying. This is definitely the best place for dumplings in North York!

The restaurant was virtually empty, with very few customers dining in or taking out. The staff seemed to be busy in the kitchen, but it was unclear who they were cooking for. We even had to call out to get our bill. Our food was served quickly, and it was quite filling overall. One thing I did notice was that the vinegar containers were really sticky, so you might want to keep some napkins handy for pouring. It’s a good spot for a quick bite, but there are other dumpling places worth checking out as well.
