Contribuiți la feedbackSuch a nice lady that bakes from home. Her prices are very fair and quality is great. If you ever make a trip to Jtown's Bakery Nakamura, you'll probably notice their tofu cheesecake in the cake area. It's light, creamy, and has the just right balance of cream cheese and tofu. It's a lighter option to the traditional New York cheesecakes. Now, for a few dollars less, you can actually order from Sugar Soul. It's a more convenient location too if you're in the North York area. Sugar Soul also offers an array of different desserts, which can be found on their IG. They also get back to you pretty quick so you don't have to wait days on end for someone to reply you. Would definitely order from her more often if she wasn't so far from me!
Ordered their tofu cheesecake for valentines day, we previously ordered one before in November. Hands down the best cheesecake I've ever had, also came with complementary cookies! The cheesecake has feels a lot lighter and more moist than a traditional cheesecake, I'm guessing because of the tofu. The nutty crumble on the bottom of the cake is also really good! I'm so sad that we finished the cake already, looking forward to the next time I can get an excuse to order more cake hahaha
I had the pleasure to grab one of their products through their 3rd party distributor. We decided to get a tofu cheesecake plus other stuff from the distributor. Anyhow, when we had the first bite, we tasted a very strong tofu flavour. (FYI, I love tofu). I can taste the tofu's subtle sweetness through the cheesecake. This was SOOO GOOD! The few pieces of fruits added a nice touch of flavour balancing to the richness of the cheesecake. I am very curious to other products Sugar Soul Pastry has to offer. Will I get more stuff from them? Yeap totally!
Excellent customer service. Tofu cheesecake: texture was nice and soft. Not too sweet. Green tea cream puffs: also not too sweet. Nice match flavour with a bit of red bean inside.
I had first heard of this place through social media, and the thing that really got me interested was their Tofu Cheesecake offering. I never would have imagined tofu, and cheesecake being in the same sentence, let alone in a cake form. When I first contacted this business it was I believe late on Christmas eve and I was chatting with Yoko. They were still quick to respond, friendly and detailed. I asked a few questions to clarify, and ended up ordering two cakes The tofu cheesecake obviously as well as their Christmas berry short cake. Sugar Soul Pastry has apparently long been a supplier of cakes to various establishments through out the GTA. From first point of contact to day of pick up, communication was always detailed, fast and friendly. Upon pick up, we were quickly shown our order to confirm that it was correct, and we were on our way back home to enjoy our cakes. Along with our order was also some bonus samplings of cookies as well. Our cakes looked pretty much exactly as advertised with no surprises. The cream for the short cake was light and fluffy Nothing like the usual dense frosting you would usually get. The fruit toppings tasted fresh and the cake itself was also very light yet the flavor was strong. When you tasted this cake there was no denying it was a berry short cake, yet remaining incredibly light and fluffy. The tofu cheesecake was definitely interesting. A regular cheesecake is usually very dense, and the cheesecakes from uncle tetsu are light and fluffy but almost sponge like. The tofu cheesecake can be best described as something in between. The cheesecake was incredibly smooth, and full of flavor yet remained light enough that it was definitely more airy then your usual cheesecake. All in all, you can really taste the fact that these were hand baked and it really shows. I look forward to another chance to order some more cakes
