Drink weren’t good! They had someone on cash just continuously punching in order’s, even though the current orders weren’t filled, as one individual made drinks. This seem’s like a system that clearly doesn't work well.
This used to our favorite place to meet with friends. Now it's overly packed on the weekend. Still a good spot to have a break if you're visiting evergreen brick works. The frozen dumpling caught our attention during this visit. Definitely over priced :
The most special thing about this café is that it is located in Evergreen. I think the prices are a little above average and the place is almost always very crowded and there is a long queue. the food is delicious and the coffee is ok. the environment is pleasant. there are plenty of tables inside and a delightful patio outside. However, inside the music can be too loud.
I really enjoy this hidden little gem of a cafe. Perfect place to stop for a scone and tea in the morning. Their breakfast sandwiches and wraps are so delicious! I've tried them all!
Old cafe used to have an amazing breakfast sandwich (among many other good things . Home made biscuit and omelette made to order; a little pricey but worth the value. Today (possibly under new management, but for sure under new business model I got 2 (completely different breakfast sandwiches, premade(!!! and a coffee. 30$!! And that was to go. Are they out of their mind? If only the sandwiches were great, but sorry, they were not. Too bad to replace a gem cafe with a ridiculously priced and mediocre spot.Update past the owner's response: I regret I have to do this, but it would be more honest if the response was that the rent is too high, and therefore the prices are what they are. In this case, the owner confirmed that they added a tip without even asking me. I do not know what business school you finished, but a tip is called a tip because it is discretionary to the customer for the service they receive (and the quality of their order; in this case it was just meh . What is scandalous in your case, is that you admit you added a tip to my order, without asking me, for premade items(!!! , and for an order that was to go(!!! . The claim that your prices are competitive is also questionable, since you are a monopoly in brickworks. With all my appreciation for the place, and the old establishment, you might want to consider asking for a tip only for made-to-order items, only if your customers utilize your space, and only if they are happy with their experience. And I am sure, people will respond (I would! . Then, you will also have an incentive to keep quality (and service high. Oh, but I forgot, you are a monopoly there, so maybe what I am saying does not make any sense. Overall, I would say, enough with this mandatory tip inflation tactic, or have the quality of your products and service really reflect the prices on your menu.
