Their ice cream making site is now at the Distillery where the on-site store will open on May 1. My weakness is the pictured Coffee. Delicieux!
We finally tried this place after having walked past it everyday for almost a year. It's a small ice cream shop with a small patio seating as well as indoor seating. All their flavours are natural and had a unique taste. We tried their famous Roasted Marshmallow which really had that burnt/roasted taste and we loved it.The Blueberry flavour was really mild and we could see the crushed blueberries. The Coffee Toffee had a strong coffee flavour with crunchy toffees. The Fudge Cookie was alright and was not really special when compared to the others. Overall a great ice cream place to chill on hot days.<br/ <br/ P.S: They accept only cash!
I really like the chewy, substantial texture of Greg's ice cream. But not all flavours are good. My favourites are: toasted smore, strawberry, and dark chocolate. My only complaint about their ice cream is that sometimes it can taste a bit ice crystal-y.
I came to Greg 's Ice Cream after a two year hiatus. <br/ <br/ Since Greg 's makes the BEST roasted marshmallow ice cream, that was just what I wanted...but they were all out. <br/ <br/ I decided to order the sweet cream instead. It tasted like whipped cream but in ice cream form. In short, it was absolutely delicious. I wasn 't crazy about the texture of the ice cream. It was...elastic y? It was pretty difficult to eat with just a plastic spoon. <br/ <br/ My sister 's strawberry ice cream tasted like a strawberry short cake. <br/ <br/ I also tried the carob, coffee, lime and orange. The lime tasted like a margarita and the orange tasted like a creamsicle. <br/ <br/ I don 't think they have one 'gross ' flavour here. <br/ <br/ Last time I was here I ordered the burnt marshmallow and the white chocolate. The white chocolate actually tasted like real white chocolate not the waxy **** companies try to pass off as 'white chocolate ' nowadays. Their famous roasted marshmallow has the perfect amount of sweet and smokey elements to it. <br/ <br/ For 2 scoops it cost about $5.60. They were huge. Greg 's delivers quality as well as quantity. <br/
This cash only ice cream shop is indulgent. Very creamy and rich Greg's is a must try. The flavors seem to rotate with some staples there daily. I thought the cornflakes flavor was interesting. The ice cream itself was absolutely delicious, however the cornflakes themselves were soggy and kinda gross. The chocolate was very rich and delicious. Looking forward to my next visit on a hot day!
