Dim Sum Town - North York Industiral

Do not order the Shanghai soup dumplings. These are not soup dumplings with thin skin wrapped around soupy pork. The skin was thick. The inside is standard ground pork. You would do better with frozen dumplings from the supermarket at a fraction of the cost. The chicken with black beans was bland. It had such big pieces of chicken bell peppers making you think that they didn't care about their work. After all, the restaurant was not busy. The garlic snow pea leaves were OK. My average rating was generous.

Could not believe how bad the food is. No taste and when there was, it was greasy. Honey garlic short ribs were tough and dry. No sauce. Sticky rice filling was minced chicken with no seasoning. Fried rice was extremely dark and greasy. Do not order from this place.

Very tasty Phoenix Bun. The pork spareribs and black bean sauce on rice also good. Did take away and service folks are very nice.

A very flavourful dim sum place with choices for both vegetarians and meat eaters. Both my wife and I were very impressed with the flavour of the food, the unlimited pu erh tea (for $1.50 per person) and a very good and attentive service. We found it randomly and based on mixed reviews almost did not stay, will be back.

I did not want to post such a negative review but feel it would be irresponsible of me not to. I cannot recommend this restaurant. This restaurant is not clean. We were there for the first (and last time) last weekend. The table cloth was on the table inside out, you could still see the stains and the material was shredding on the seems. The tea pot was grimy all over. The lazy Susan was sticky and still had caked on food from who ever ate there last. But worst of all, as we were waiting to pay the bill (we were a family of 6 people) they had not yet cleared the table and a bunch of fruit flies started camping out around us and the table. Yuck!
